Stephen Snudden is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, affiliated with the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. His research focuses on macroeconomics, international finance, and income inequality, with particular emphasis on fiscal and monetary policy, commodity pricing, and migration economics. He holds a PhD and has extensive experience in analyzing economic dynamics, forecasting methodologies, and policy implications.
His research interests include the impact of fiscal and monetary policies on commodity markets, the role of remittances in developing economies, and household financial behavior. He has contributed to understanding oil price volatility, exchange rate forecasting, and the effects of structural innovations on economic models.
Dr. Snudden’s publications span over a decade, with recent work emphasizing temporal aggregation in forecasting, the predictive power of futures markets for commodities, and household return heterogeneity. His work bridges theoretical econometrics with applied policy analysis, addressing global economic challenges such as inflation targeting and resource-dependent economies.
