Stephen Seiler

Stephen Seiler, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Chief of the Breast Imaging Division. He also serves as Medical Director of Breast Imaging for UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics. His clinical focus includes early breast cancer detection, breast implant integrity assessment, and image-guided procedures.

Dr. Seiler earned bachelor's degrees in Plan II Honors and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by his medical degree at UT Southwestern. He completed radiology residency and breast imaging fellowship at UT Southwestern. His research emphasizes innovative imaging techniques like ultrasound, MRI, and CT for breast diagnostics, including collaborations on fiducial marker placement for radiation therapy.

His recent work explores AI-driven imaging solutions for breast cancer, data quality in medical AI systems, and pandemic-related challenges in breast imaging services. He has published extensively on breast lesion management, imaging after surgery, and non-invasive diagnostic methods.

Dr. Seiler’s professional contributions include leadership in breast imaging education and clinical practice standards. He advocates for equitable healthcare policies and data ethics in AI-driven medical tools.
