Stephen Schweinsberg

Stephen Schweinsberg is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Management at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. His research focuses on tourism pedagogy, religion in tourism planning, and sustainable tourism management. He holds a PhD from UTS and a Master's from the University of Sydney. Schweinsberg has authored/co-authored two books and over 40 academic papers, contributing to journals such as Annals of Tourism Research and Tourism Management. He serves on the editorial boards of Tourism Review and Annals of Tourism Research.

His research emphasizes accessible tourism, religious tourism knowledge, and the intersection of tourism with climate change and social justice. Recent work includes co-designing tourism frameworks with disability communities and exploring risk management in mountain tourism. Schweinsberg has received multiple UTS Business School Achievement Awards and teaches the research capstone for Management Masters programs. He supervises postgraduate research and contributes to funded projects on sustainable tourism financing and academic pedagogy.
