Stephen Schryer is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of New Brunswick, holding a PhD from UC Irvine. His research explores intersections between literature, economics, and political ideology.
Education includes a PhD in English (UC Irvine, 2006), MA in Theory and Criticism (Western Ontario, 1999), and BA in English/Comparative Literature (McMaster, 1997).
Research focuses on 20th/21st century American literature, science fiction, African American writing, and neoliberal theory. Current projects examine connections between Golden Age SF and free-market economics.
