Stephen R. Madigosky is a Professor in the Departments of Environmental Science and Biology at Widener University's College of Arts and Sciences. With over two decades of research focus on tropical forests, his work examines post-disturbance ecological recovery and microclimate dynamics in the Iquitos, Peru region, while promoting sustainable development initiatives.

Research Interests span tropical ecology, forest phenology/climatology, and sustainable development. His long-term projects include:
