Dr. Stephen Porter is a Professor of Higher Education in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development at North Carolina State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with a concentration in econometrics from the University of Rochester. His research focuses on student success, causal inference methodologies, and survey validity, supported by grants from major organizations like the Institute of Education Sciences and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Porter has served on editorial boards for seven journals including American Educational Research Journal and chairs grant review panels for the Institute of Education Sciences.
