Stephen Pemberton

Stephen Pemberton is an Associate Professor in Federated History at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. His research focuses on the intersections of biocapitalism, hemophilia, medical progress, law, and justice. He explores ethical dilemmas, unintended consequences of medical innovation, and historical frameworks for understanding diseases like sickle cell disease and Tay-Sachs, as well as the role of genetic screening and disability studies in medicine.
