Stephen P. Luby

Stephen P. Luby is Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Stanford University, Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli and Woods Institutes, and Director of Research at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. His research addresses infectious diseases, environmental health, and global health interventions across South Asia and Africa.

Luby leads projects on reducing lead exposure, water-sensitive revitalization of informal settlements, typhoid surveillance, and COVID-19 interventions. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous awards including the International WaTER Prize and CDC Shepard Award. His work spans cholera control, Nipah virus dynamics, and child health interventions.
