- M.D. from New York University School of Medicine (1992-1996)
- M.S. in Epidemiology from the University of Washington School of Public Health (2000-2002)
Dr. Seliger completed his Internal Medicine residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and Nephrology fellowship training at the University of Washington. His research focuses on the intersection of kidney disease, aging, and cardiovascular health, with particular emphasis on cognitive and physical function in older adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD), cardiac-specific biomarkers in aging, and polycystic kidney disease (PKD). His work bridges clinical practice with epidemiological research, addressing critical questions in geriatric nephrology.
Analysis of Dr. Seliger's recent publications reveals a consistent focus on the interplay between kidney function and cardiovascular outcomes, with growing attention to biomarker discovery, disease progression modeling in ADPKD, and the impact of social determinants on health outcomes in kidney disease. His research increasingly incorporates advanced methodologies including machine learning applications in cardiovascular diagnostics and detailed metabolic profiling for disease stratification.
