Stephen L. Ross is a Professor of Economics at the University of Connecticut's Department of Economics, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on urban economics, public finance, labor economics, and housing discrimination, with significant contributions to understanding neighborhood effects, mortgage markets, and segregation. He has published widely in top journals like the Journal of Political Economy and the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy.
