Stephen Kavic is a Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, holding the Campbell and Jeanette Plugge Professorship of Surgery. He serves as Vice Chair of Education and Program Director for the General Surgery Residency. His clinical and research work focuses on minimally invasive abdominal surgery, gastrointestinal tract surgery, endoscopy, and hernia repair, with additional emphasis on surgical education and clinical outcomes.
