Dr. Stephen Kabah serves as Chair of the Department of Communication at Oakwood University (effective July 2024) and holds an assistant professorship. He previously coordinated the Communication Arts and Public Relations programs since 2021. His academic background includes a PhD in Communication from Regent University and over 20 years of experience in academia, communication, business, and pastoral care.
Research focuses on media's societal impact and increasing Black representation in journalism. He emphasizes curriculum alignment with industry standards through partnerships with local news organizations like WHNT News 19.
