Stephen Harvey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. He also serves as Assistant Director of University Research Animal Resources. His expertise spans laboratory animal medicine, with a focus on biosafety, amphibian care, and disease modeling.
- Education: BS from Roanoke College (1991), DVM from Purdue University (1995), MS from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (1997)
Research interests include laboratory animal biosafety protocols, clinical pathology of laboratory animals, and developing animal models for human diseases. He teaches courses such as POPH 5202 (Laboratory Animal Medicine), POPH 5203 (Techniques in Laboratory Animal Medicine), and VETM 5110 (Veterinary Medicine: An Umbrella of Opportunities).
