
Stephen Harris

Dr. Stephen Harris is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences at the University of New England (Armidale, NSW). He specializes in American and Australian literature, film studies, and eco-critical themes. His research explores individualism in cultural contexts, sound/music in literature, and the relationship between literature and the environment. He collaborates with WRaIN (Water Research and Innovation Network) on interdisciplinary projects, including co-editing a collection on water in Australian culture. He holds a PhD and has taught at UNE since his appointment.
Education: BA (Honours Class 1), MA (Honours Research), PhD.

Publications span literary criticism, eco-theory, and interdisciplinary essays. He has reviewed works on Australian poetry, environmental literature, and political theory.
