Professor Stephen Hallett is Professor in Applied Environmental Informatics at Cranfield University's Environment Centre. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he leads research on environmental risks and digital solutions for land management through major UKRI and EU projects.
His work develops decision support systems for soil resources, climate adaptation, and infrastructure resilience. Hallett serves as NERC Digital Environment Champion and UKCRIC board member, overseeing national resources like LandIS soil information system. Recent publications focus on precision agriculture, infrastructure ontologies, and brownfield redevelopment tools.
