Stephen Gray is the Malcolm Broomhead Chair in Finance at the University of Queensland Business School. He holds a PhD in Financial Economics from Stanford University and Honours degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Queensland. His research focuses on valuation, cost of capital, corporate financial strategy, and financial risk management, with contributions to empirical finance and asset pricing. He has published extensively in top journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance and Accounting and Finance, and has advised on regulatory matters including electricity retail pricing and corporate governance. He was awarded the Prime Minister's Award for University Teaching Excellence in Economics and Business.
