Stephen Emmanuel Osei-Owusu is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of History, University of Cape Coast (U.C.C.), Ghana, and a PhD candidate at Carleton University, Canada. His research focuses on environmental protection regulations in Ghana and colonial environmental legislations in the Gold Coast's gold mining industry. He holds a B.A. and M.Phil. (History) from U.C.C., and his teaching expertise includes Ghanaian history, Modern European civilizations, and colonial/post-colonial U.S. history.

- Committee Roles: Former Secretary/Administrator of the History Department's Publications Committee, Grants Proposal team member, Programs’ Accreditation Committee member (2016–2020).
