Stephen Curley

Stephen Curley is a Regents Professor in the Department of Liberal Studies at Texas A&M University at Galveston. He holds the highest academic rank awarded by the Texas A&M University System and has received multiple teaching excellence awards. His research focuses on maritime history, Texas history, and film studies, with notable publications on naval history, regional identity, and cultural analysis.

Curley earned a Ph.D. in English from Rice University (1974) and a B.A. in English from Fordham University (1968).
