Professor Stephen Clarke is a distinguished academic and clinician at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the Medicine, Northern Clinical School and the Kolling Institute of Medical Research. He holds the title of Professor of Medicine and specializes in oncology, with a focus on cancer pharmacology, colorectal and lung cancers. His research integrates clinical trials, translational research, and the exploration of biomarkers and therapeutic strategies in oncology.
Professor Clarke’s work spans diverse areas including the use of imaging techniques (e.g., PET/CT), precision medicine, and the impact of systemic inflammation on cancer outcomes. He has contributed to advancements in targeted therapies, immunotherapy, and supportive care, including studies on cannabis-based pain management.
