Stephen C. Bold is an Associate Professor of French at Boston College, part of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University, following a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. from NYU. His research focuses on 17th-century French literature, including philosophical texts, theater, and intersections with the arts, alongside linguistics. Recent work includes an article on Ronsard's poetry and presentations on 17th-century French journalism. He has authored a book on Pascal and edited volumes on French thought.
