Stephen Burke is an Adjunct Professor affiliated with Lund University's Division of Building Physics within the Faculty of Engineering (LTH). He holds a PhD and specializes in building physics, energy systems, and sustainable construction. His research contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to clean energy and sustainable cities.
Research focuses include airtightness in buildings, probabilistic energy simulations, domestic hot water systems, and data quality in energy performance modeling. He has published 26 works across peer-reviewed journals and conferences, with notable contributions to Energy and Buildings and Periodica Polytechnica Architecture.
Burke leads the 'God luftkvalitet med fokus på trikloramin i energieffektiva badanläggningar' project (2025-2027) funded by AFA-insurances. He has supervised doctoral research on probabilistic energy simulations and contributed to projects like 'Förstudie av prefabricerade multiaktiva fasadelement för energirenovering av flerbostadshus' (2015-2017).
