Stephen Alltop is a Senior Lecturer in Conducting, Harpsichord, and Oratorio at the Henry and Leigh Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University. He serves as conductor of the Baroque Music Ensemble and directs multiple orchestras, including the Apollo Chorus of Chicago, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, and Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra.

Alltop has performed at iconic venues including the Basilique St. Denis and Symphony Center, with recordings on Cedille and Albany labels. He lectures for organizations including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Kellogg School of Management.
