Dr. Stephanie Wermelinger is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Zurich, specializing in Developmental Psychology with a focus on bilingualism, social development, and action perception across the lifespan. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Zurich (2015–2018) and has been a postdoc there since 2018. Her research explores how early experiences (e.g., pandemic-related mask use, bilingual environments) shape communication, social interaction, and cognitive development. She is an alumnus of the International Max Planck Research School on the Life Course (LIFE).
Her education includes a BSc (2009–2012) and MSc (2013–2015) in Psychology from the University of Zurich. Key research areas include:
