Stephanie Rickard

Stephanie Rickard is a Professor of Political Science at the London School of Economics (LSE), Department of Government, specializing in international political economy. Her research focuses on how political institutions and economic geography shape economic policies, particularly subsidies and trade strategies. She holds a PhD from UC San Diego and a BA from the University of Rochester.

Her seminal book *Spending to Win* (2018) analyzes how governments strategically target subsidies to businesses, combining electoral incentives with geographic factors.
