Dr. Stephanie Martinez serves as Professor of Communication and Director of Presentational Speaking at St. Edward's University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Humanities and Department of Communication. She has led study abroad programs in Angers, France and Sevilla, Spain.

- B.S. in Advertising, Kent State University Kent (1991)
Research focuses on health communication through autoethnographic exploration of esophageal cancer survival, and sport communication via case study contributions. Additional work examines midlife transitions, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement with personal and societal narratives.
Awarded the 2016 Presidential Excellence Research Grant for health communication scholarship. Directs presentational speaking curriculum and international study initiatives while maintaining active departmental leadership.
