Stephanie Moret

Stephanie Moret is a Continuing Lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), specializing in environmental sustainability and collaborative systems. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences (Water Resources Track) from Oregon State University, an M.S. in Geology (Water Resources), and a B.S. in Geology from UC Davis.

Her research focuses on integrating ecological connectivity, sustainable land use, and water resource management. She teaches ENV S 137: Conservation Planning and has led projects involving habitat preservation under the Endangered Species Act, community-driven watershed restoration, and stakeholder collaboration for resilient systems.

Dr. Moret has coordinated large-scale projects valued in the millions, managed grants, and developed education/outreach programs. Her work emphasizes cross-sector partnerships between governments, tribes, NGOs, and private entities to balance development with environmental protection.
