Dr. Stephanie Macmahon is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, The University of Queensland, and Program Director of the UQ Learning Lab. With over 20 years of experience as a P-12 educator and school leader, she specializes in mobilizing Science of Learning research into educational practice through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Her research focuses on Human Connectedness and Learning within the science of learning framework, examining:
- Social synchrony and connected learning environments
- Metacognition and emotional regulation
- Knowledge mobilization in schools and industry
- Self-regulated and socially regulated learning
- Collaborative pedagogical strategies
