Stephanie Insalaco is a second-year Ph.D. student and Lecturer in the Department of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She teaches GEOG111: Our Digital Earth and conducts research focused on environmental conservation, GIS applications, and marine ecosystems. Her doctoral work examines seagrass and fisheries conservation in Mosquito Lagoon, Florida, employing remote sensing technologies and survey methodologies to analyze ecosystem decline.
