Dr Stephanie Hastings is a Researcher at the School of Psychology and Sports Science, Bangor University, and serves as the Co-Deputy Director of the PG Dip Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is also a Consultant Psychological Therapist at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), where she delivers training and supervision in CBT and DBT.
- Education: Keele University (1987–1991), qualifying as a Social Worker.
Her research focuses on adapting DBT for autistic adolescents in school settings, informed by her PhD (2021). She previously worked in CAMHS and contributed to an RCT on DBT for Treatment Resistant Depression.
Recent publications address DBT implementation in mainstream schools and emotional/behavioral challenges in autistic children. She collaborates extensively with BABCP, SfDBT, and NHS stakeholders.
Stephanie is accredited as a CBT practitioner and supervisor, and affiliated with the BCUHB Psychological Therapies training team, contributing to the PG Dip CBT program.
