Dr. Stephanie Häring is a Scientific Associate in the Department of Clinical-Psychological Intervention at the Department of Education and Psychology, Freie Universität Berlin, with additional affiliation at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Her research focuses on gender- and diversity-sensitive approaches in clinical psychology, particularly in trauma disorders and reproductive mental health.
Dr. Häring earned her PhD at Freie Universität Berlin on the topic of 'Gender Data Gap in Psychotraumatology' and completed a research stay at Emory University (Grady Trauma Project). She previously worked for five years at the Institute for Gender Research in Medicine at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Her educational background includes studies in Psychology, Politics, and International Business Management across Germany, Turkey, and the USA.
Her research interests center around gender- and diversity-sensitive clinical psychology, reproductive mental health, trauma disorders, and psychotherapy mechanisms. Methodologically, she has a quantitative background with experience in ambulatory assessment data analysis, participatory research, and meta-research. Her work consistently addresses how inequalities in access to healthcare can be eliminated.
Dr. Häring's recent publications reveal a strong focus on sex and gender differences in trauma research, PTSD risk factors, and the impact of childhood maltreatment on mental health outcomes. Her work frequently examines how gender data gaps affect psychotraumatology research and clinical practice.

In teaching, she contributes to the medical curriculum at Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin, focusing on sensitive communication topics like delivering bad news and addressing domestic violence.
