Dr. Stephanie G. Adams is the Dean of the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science and a Professor of Systems Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas. She holds the Lars Magnus Ericsson Chair in Electrical Engineering, established by Ericsson Inc. in 1986. Her leadership roles include serving as President of the American Society for Engineering Education (2019–2020) and advisory roles in organizations like the National Society of Black Engineers and the Women in Engineering ProActive Network.

Prior to UT Dallas, she served as Dean at Old Dominion University’s Frank Batten College of Engineering & Technology and held academic leadership positions at Virginia Tech, Virginia Commonwealth University, Texas A&M University, and NSF’s Division of Engineering Education and Centers. She earned her BS in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management from Texas A&M University.
