Faris B. Mismar

Dr. Faris B. Mismar is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas, within the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. He is also a Senior Principal Consultant at Nokia Bell Labs, where he contributes to cutting-edge research in wireless communications and AI. His academic and industrial work bridges deep learning with next-generation wireless networks.

He has pioneered solutions for proactive handoff, massive MIMO compression, and self-diagnosing networks using unsupervised learning.

Dr. Mismar is affiliated with Nokia Bell Labs, where he serves as a Senior Principal Consultant and previously as Head of Data Science and AI in Mobile Networks.
