Stephanie Brodine is a Professor and former Head of the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at San Diego State University. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, with expertise in global health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and health disparities. She serves as Clinical Director of the DoD HIV/AIDS Prevention Program, overseeing operations in 70 countries, and directs the California NARCH (Native American Research Center for Health), a NIH-funded initiative addressing Indigenous health disparities. She coordinates U.S.-Mexico border collaborations, including the VIIDAI program and a USAID TIES-funded project.
Her research focuses on international health systems, marginalized populations, and infectious disease control. She has secured extensive funding from NIH, USAID, and the U.S. Department of Defense, with over 75 peer-reviewed publications. Her work emphasizes translational research and capacity-building in underserved communities.
