Stephanie A. Bohon

Stephanie A. Bohon is a Professor and Head of the Sociology Department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, within the College of Arts and Sciences. She joined the university in 2006 and holds a PhD in Sociology and Demography from Pennsylvania State University (1998). Her research focuses on social demography, new destination immigration, Latino migration patterns, urban sociology, and quantitative methodologies.

Dr. Bohon’s work emphasizes the adaptation and integration of Latino migrants in Southern U.S. regions, contrasting their experiences in traditional vs. emerging gateway cities.
