Stephan Sigrist

Prof. Dr. Stephan Sigrist is a Full Professor of Genetics at the Freie Universität Berlin, leading the Sigrist Lab focusing on synaptic active zone architecture and neurobiology. He holds the Einstein Professorship (2014–present) and chairs the Collaborative Research Center 958 on membrane scaffolding. His research combines genetics, microscopy (e.g., STED), and neurobiology to study synaptic plasticity and aging-related cognitive decline.
