Stephan Fouquet

Stephan Fouquet is a Researcher at the Chair of International Relations within the Faculty of History and Social Sciences at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU). Since October 2024, he coordinates the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network IDEoPOP at the University of Freiburg, while maintaining his affiliation with KU since October 2019. He also served as a Lecturer (April-July 2019) and Research Assistant (October 2018-March 2019) at KU.

Recent publications demonstrate his expertise in populist foreign policy dynamics, including analyses of Cristina Kirchner's decision-making and leadership traits in populist regimes. His contributions to the Routledge Handbook of Populism and Foreign Policy (2025) and journals like International Studies Quarterly and Journal of International Relations and Development highlight his impact in the field.
