Steinn Steingrimsson is a Senior Lecturer (Docent/Associate Professor) and Chief Physician in Psychiatry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the University of Gothenburg. He leads the Digital Psychiatry research group and holds roles as Scientific Secretary of the Swedish Psychiatric Association and Chairman of the Swedish Society for Philosophy and Psychiatry. His research focuses on digital tools for mental health, including clinical studies on lithium treatment, esketamine therapy, and virtual reality interventions. He supervises multiple doctoral students and teaches courses on affective disorders, psychiatric diagnostics, and medical education.
