Stein Andreas Bethuelsen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bergen. His research focuses on probability theory and mathematical statistical mechanics, with specializations in random walks in dynamic random environments, interacting particle systems, and Gibbs measures. He has contributed to studies on limit laws for random walks in path-cone mixing environments and local limit theorems for directed walks on percolation clusters. His work often intersects with high-dimensional dynamics and quenched analysis. Bethuelsen has presented at conferences including the Norwegian Statistician's Meeting and Oberwolfach workshops, and his teaching includes courses like STAT101, STAT210, and STAT221. His publications span journals such as the Electronic Journal of Probability and ALEA, with ongoing research into cutoff phenomena and spatial-temporal stochastic descriptions.
