Research spans three decades in Madagascar's southeastern rainforests, examining lemur diversity, hybrid zones, and impacts of cyclones and deforestation. Current work investigates landscape-level processes affecting seed dispersers and forest regeneration in agricultural zones.
Projects include:
- Assessing lemur functional diversity in disturbed forests
- Nutrigenomics of frugivorous lemurs
- Golden langur conservation in Bhutan
- National Science Foundation-funded study on landscape impacts on forest regeneration
- Swedish Research Council-funded seed dispersal and sustainable development research
Awards include:
- 2019 GREAT Supervisor Award
- 2015 Peak Scholar recognition
- 2005 Teaching Excellence nomination
