Steffen Berg

Steffen Berg is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Earth Science & Engineering at Imperial College London's Faculty of Engineering. He concurrently serves as a senior research staff scientist at Shell Global Solutions International B.V. in Rijswijk, The Netherlands. His research focuses on multiphase flow in porous media, special core analysis (SCAL), improved/enhanced oil recovery (IOR/EOR), and pore-scale physics/digital rock technology.

Research interests span interdisciplinary topics at the intersection of geology, chemical engineering, and applied mathematics, addressing challenges in energy resource extraction and environmental engineering. His work contributes to advancing methodologies for reservoir characterization and optimizing hydrocarbon recovery processes.
