Dr. Stefanos Zarkos is a Professor in the Practice of Finance and Academic Director of the Alba MBA and MSc in Finance at The American College of Greece. He holds a B.Sc. from Cardiff University, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, and professional certifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and CIMA. His expertise spans Corporate Finance, Treasury Management, and Strategic Decision-Making using real options analysis.
Dr. Zarkos has extensive industry collaboration experience with companies like TITAN, Eurobank, and Roche, and serves on the supervisory board of the Hellenic Association of Financial Managers. His research focuses on applying real options theory to corporate finance challenges and has published in journals such as Transportation Research Part E and Strategic Change.
He previously taught at the Manchester School of Management and has consulted on e-commerce systems for financial services, including work with Tegopoulos/ENET S.A. and ICAP S.A.
