Stefano Pogutz is a Professor of Practice in Corporate Sustainability at SDA Bocconi School of Management, where he also serves as Director of the full-time MBA program. He acts as a Strategic Advisor at Bocconi 4 Innovation, the university’s pre-accelerator and accelerator.
- Education: Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University; PhD in International Management - Innovation, Services, and Sustainability from Sant'Anna School, Pisa.
Research Interests focus on:
- Development of sustainable and circular business models
- Ocean sustainability and blue economy frameworks
- Interdependence between socio-ecological systems and corporate strategies
- Implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria in business operations
- Impact investing and corporate governance
- Innovation management for sustainability
Publications span peer-reviewed journals like Ecological Economics, AMBIO, and Journal of Business Ethics, with recent works emphasizing business responses to ocean sustainability and strategic ESG integration. His 2024 research on Business for Ocean Sustainability was recognized by the Financial Times in the Responsible Business Education Awards.
