Stefano Pirandola

Stefano Pirandola is a Professor of Quantum Computing at the Department of Computer Science, University of York. He holds roles such as Chair of the Research Progression Panel and has held visiting positions including at MIT (2018–2019). His research focuses on quantum information science, encompassing quantum cryptography, quantum communication protocols, quantum networks, and fundamental studies of entanglement and bosonic channels.

Education includes a PhD (2005, International School of Advanced Studies and University of Camerino) and Laurea degree (2001, University of Rome 'La Sapienza').
