Stefano Pascucci is a Professor at the University of Exeter Business School, specializing in applied economics with a focus on sustainability, circular economy, and agribusiness. Prior to joining Exeter in 2016, he held an Associate Professor position at Wageningen University’s Management Studies Group (NL). He also serves as a visiting researcher at Wageningen University. Pascucci earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics and Policy from the University of Naples Federico II (IT) and completed a postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellowship at Wageningen University.
His research explores the interplay between sustainability, collaborative innovation, and value chain configurations in the agri-food sector. Key areas include institutional economics of circular systems, alternative food networks, and cradle-to-cradle design. He has published in journals such as the European Review of Agricultural Economics and Journal of Business Ethics.
Pascucci is an editorial board member of the British Food Journal and a member of the Institutional and Organizational Economics Academy. He teaches courses on circular economy entrepreneurship and sustainability in food systems.
His research projects, often funded by diverse sources, address topics like institutional design for sustainable agri-food systems and closed-cycle production models. Pascucci is also an alumnus of the Ronald Coase Institute.
