Stefano Mori is a Lecturer at Mozarteum University Salzburg within the Institute for Open Arts and Department of Fine Arts and Design. He serves as Senior Artist for metal and design in the Technik.Textil program and as Project Staff Member for the Co-CreART initiative, with a strong focus on sustainability integration across academic and practical domains.
His academic foundation includes a Master of Arts from Politecnico di Milano (2013), followed by a seven-year professional collaboration with Studio Anna Heringer and Lehm Ton Erde-Martin Rauch. This partnership specialized in sustainable architecture development and implementation across Africa, Bangladesh, India, China, Germany, Austria, and Italy. Mori holds the German Fachkraft Lehmbau certification (2019), validating his expertise in earth construction methodologies.
Mori's research synthesizes traditional craftsmanship with digital manufacturing through interdisciplinary frameworks. Core focus areas include:
- Earth-based construction techniques for humanitarian projects
- Local material utilization in architectural design
- Hybrid art-technology-craft pedagogical models
- Sustainable resource management in cross-cultural contexts
- Digital fabrication integration with vernacular building practices
His work demonstrates consistent engagement with global sustainability challenges through both academic instruction and field implementation. As part of Co-CreART and international studio collaborations, Mori advances practical applications of sustainable design principles while maintaining active involvement in social and humanitarian architectural initiatives since his graduate studies.
