Stefano Fantucci

Stefano Fantucci is an Associate Professor of Environmental Technical Physics at the Polytechnic University of Turin, affiliated with the Department of Energy (DENERG). He holds a PhD in Energetics (2018) and a Laurea in Architecture (2011). His research focuses on advanced building envelope technologies, thermal insulation, energy efficiency, phase change materials, and sustainable building systems. He leads the TEBE research group, investigating topics like additive manufacturing of building components and solar energy integration.

Education: Architect (Laurea with honors, 2011) and PhD in Energetics (2018), both from Polytechnic University of Turin.

Research Interests: Advanced building materials, thermal performance assessment, moisture buffering, ventilated facades, and energy retrofitting. His work emphasizes sustainable design aligned with SDGs like climate action and affordable energy.

He teaches courses on green building design, restoration projects, and environmental control techniques at the graduate level. Recent articles highlight innovations in 3D-printed materials, phase change materials, and energy-efficient building systems. He co-authored over 80 publications and holds a patent for a superinsulating building panel technology.

Consulting projects include thermal monitoring of historic masonry and phase change material applications. He advises PhD students in Energetics and related fields, contributing to cutting-edge research in building physics and energy efficiency.
