Stefanie Schüler-Springorum

Stefanie Schüler-Springorum is a Professor and Director of the Center for Research on Antisemitism at the Technical University of Berlin. She holds a doctorate summa cum laude from Ruhr University Bochum (1993) and has held leadership roles at institutions such as the Institute for the History of German Jews in Hamburg (2001–2011) and the University of Hamburg (professor since 2007). Her research focuses on German-Jewish history, National Socialist history, antisemitism, and memory studies. She has curated major exhibitions like 'Jewish History in Berlin' and authored influential works on topics including the Condor Legion in the Spanish Civil War.

Education:

• Studies in Medieval/Modern History, Ethnology, and Political Science at Georg-August University Göttingen and Universidad Central de Barcelona (1982–1988)
• Doctorate on Königsberg's Jewish community history (Ruhr University Bochum, 1993)

Research Interests: Her work examines German-Jewish community history, youth movements, resistance during Nazism, and the historiography of antisemitism. She integrates gender and emotion perspectives into Holocaust studies and explores transnational memory cultures, particularly in Germany and Spain. Recent projects include coordinating BMBF-funded antisemitism research networks.
