Stefanie Castell

Dr. Stefanie Castell is a Researcher and Deputy Head of the Department of Epidemiology at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) in Braunschweig, Germany. She leads the Climate, Cohorts and PIA research group and serves as Principal Investigator for the NAKO Health Study since 2023. Her work integrates population-based cohorts, planetary health, and digital epidemiology, with a focus on participatory approaches like citizen science.
