Stefania Cretella is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cultures and Civilizations at the University of Verona. Her academic specialization is ARTE-01/D - Museology and Art and Restoration Criticism, with research focusing on arts and humanities, consumer behavior in cultural contexts, and philosophical aesthetics.
Dr. Cretella's research focuses on decorative arts, museology, and art restoration, with particular expertise in fresco painting conservation, secular painting from Baroque to Neoclassical periods in Northern Italy (especially Brescia), and technical analysis of paintings. Her work bridges historical scholarship with practical conservation techniques.
She leads multiple significant research initiatives including:

She serves as a Temporary Professor in the Department of Cultures and Civilizations through May 2027 and participates in collegial teaching bodies for Cultural Heritage, Art History, and Communication Sciences programs.
Her office is located in Palazzo di Lettere Nuovo, 3rd floor, Studio 3.11, with office hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:30 by appointment.
