Stefan Walker is a Research Fellow at James Cook University, affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies (2005–2022). He holds a PhD in Marine Biology from JCU (2010) and has expertise in evolutionary biology, ecology, and animal behavior. His work focuses on coral reef ecosystems, social evolution in butterflyfishes, and climate change impacts. He has contributed to understanding reef resilience through studies on collective behavior, consensus decision-making, and strategic cooperation in marine species.
